Spring Skincare For Everyone!


Its officially Spring! Spring and Summer bring about so much change with our bodies especially our skin. As the temperature changes from cold to warm, you may start to notice a oilier or normal appearance in the skin. If you tend to have Oily or Combination Skin, you may notice an overproduction of oil. If you tend to have dry skin, you may notice a balanced or normal appearance. As the weather warms; creating these changes in the skin among other changes in the body, it is important that we drink adequate amounts of water to help the body stay balanced. Sunscreen is also essential for any skin type (I cannot stress this enough), EVERYONE (men, women children, Black ,White, Asian, Indian) NEED IT! A few recommendations to change up your skincare routine can be found below:

Spring/Summer Care

Oily/Combination Skin: Use a cleanser with more foam or lather to combat excess oil. Toner can be switched for an astringent(just means more alcohol) if skin is extremely oily. A water-based mattifying moisturizer with an SPF of 5-15 should be used. A scrub and clay mask should be used 1-2 times a week.

Normal/Dry: Listen to your skin; you may want to use cleansers for normal skin which may concentrate on other issues such as brightening, so as long as they do not overdry. A toner can continue to be used. A medium to lightweight waterbased moisturizer with an SPF 5-15 should be used. A light scrub and neutral hydrating mask can be used once a week.
